Mexican national Beatriz “Bea” Aguerrebere, a long-time resident of Huatulco opened the doors to Blackstone Huatulco Real Estate S.A. de C.V. in 2008.
“Blackstone’s success has been achieved by providing the best service with great honesty and accountability to the client” stated Bea.
In 2021 Bea decided she would move from Huatulco to be closer to her family, and sell Blackstone. Mac had been a trusted friend of Bea’s for years, and they reached an agreement to transition Blackstone to Mac and his partners; Pita, JD, and Brad. Bea commented, “I am glad that Blackstone Real Estate continues under Mac’s leadership because I am sure Mac will preserve its values and essence.”
On August 27, 2022, the succession of the company was signed before a notary public.

MICHAEL MACEACHERN (MAC)
Partner | Director of Sales and Marketing
Mac was born and raised in the surf town of Santa Cruz, California. Mac’s career in real estate spans four-plus decades, with many achievements along the way. He has extensive experience in real estate sales, marketing, and sales management in the U.S. and Mexico.
In the 1970s in Lake Tahoe, Ca. Mac’s career began. Mac worked winters with the Heavenly Mountain Resort and sold real estate during the off-season summer months. In the 1980s, Mac had the opportunity to relocate to Mexico and join the sales team at the Sheraton Buganvillas Resort in Puerto Vallarta. He worked with Sheraton for 20 years as their Project Director of Vacation Club Sales. By necessity, he learned Spanish and is 100% bilingual.
In the late 1990s Mac discovered Huatulco during a surf trip, and it was love at first site. The natural beauty of Oaxaca and its people, as well as some of the best surf on the planet easily convinced Mac to purchase a condo there in 2003, and eventually move to Huatulco full-time in 2008.
From 2011 up to becoming a Partner at Blackstone Real Estate, Mac worked as the Project Director for Unlimited Vacation Club at Dreams Resort Hotel and Spa Huatulco, and Secrets Resort Hotel and Spa Huatulco. “My success in real estate sales and marketing has been achieved by working in an honest, ethical, and responsible manner with my associates and clients. Blackstone clients can expect the same high bar of integrity when you engage our services.” Mac
BRAD CAPINAS
Partner, Director of Business Development, and Sales
Brad and his wife, Laura, first discovered Huatulco in 2003 during their 18-month road trip across Mexico and Central America. Armed with nothing but a map book, a satellite phone, and a sense of adventure in their 4Runner, they set out to find a place to call their second home. Huatulco quickly rose to the top of the list and Mac was one of the very first people they met when they arrived.
What truly captivated Brad wasn’t just the scenery, but the lifestyle. He fell in love with Huatulco’s endless outdoor activities, where his hardest decision each morning is choosing between mountain biking through the national park, surfing at Barra, or running along Huatulco’s beautiful trails. The bond he and Laura formed with the natural beauty and the warm local community made purchasing real estate here an easy choice. And while the once-sleepy town has grown since 2003, the charm, the people, and the magic remain the same.
Before becoming a Blackstone partner, Brad spent over 30 years in the financial services industry and also built experience in real estate development, construction, and foreign currency real estate transactions. He holds an active California Realtor license and now divides his time between Huatulco and his family’s farm and vineyard in Northern California
“My career in finance was built on a fiduciary responsibility to the client. Here at Blackstone, we have adopted this same fiduciary practice for our real estate clients.”
